About Me

I am a journalist, editor, researcher, and trainer with professional experience of more than 10 years. I cover conflict, economy, politics, international affairs, and governance. I am the lead Contributing Writer for Nikkei Asia from Pakistan.  

I have extensively covered the Belt and Road Initiative and its Pakistan component China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). My writings have been published in Financial Times, South China Morning Post, Asia Times, and Business Standard, among others. He has also written for Jamestown Foundation, the Center for Strategic and International Studies among others.

I am also a certified trainer of digital security accredited by Reporters Without Borders. I am a part of the panel of trainers of the Center for Excellence in Journalism. I conduct training for journalists in the areas of Data Journalism, Digital Journalism, and Digital Security. I am also a Chevening South Asian Journalism Program Fellow and Swedish Institute Youth Connectors of Future Fellow.
